What is MEP design and consultancy?

MEP design and consultancy covers the planning and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing building services. At EENOKI, the current service scope also includes ELV design and coordination, with a focus on practical integration with architecture and site execution.

When should MEP design start?

Ideally during architectural planning — before shafts, wet zones, ceiling spaces, major equipment locations and service routes are fixed. Early involvement does not mean every technical drawing must be completed immediately. It means the building should reserve the important space and interfaces the services will need.

Which MEP services does EENOKI provide?

EENOKI currently provides Electrical Design, Plumbing and PHE Design, HVAC Design, ELV Design, MEP Coordination, Site Consultation and Site Inspection or execution-stage support depending on the agreed scope.

Who does EENOKI work with?

We work with architects, homeowners, builders, developers, contractors and project teams that need coordinated MEP design or practical engineering support.

What types of projects does EENOKI support?

Project experience and service capability cover residential villas, apartments, commercial buildings, offices, hospitality projects and industrial or mixed-use projects depending on the scope and requirements.

Is EENOKI only for projects in Kozhikode?

No. EENOKI is based in Kozhikode, Kerala and supports projects across Kerala as well as projects elsewhere in India and beyond, depending on the project scope and coordination needs.

See our Kozhikode MEP consultancy page.

What information should I share to start an MEP discussion?

The most useful starting information is:

  • Project location.
  • Project type.
  • Approximate project area.
  • Current project stage.
  • Required services — Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, ELV or complete MEP.
  • Latest architectural plan, if available.
  • Known equipment, special requirements or an existing site issue.

What is the difference between MEP design and MEP coordination?

MEP design develops the technical requirements and layouts for the building services. MEP coordination checks how those services interact with each other, the architecture, structure, ceiling spaces, shafts and equipment zones.

For example, an HVAC route can be correct by itself and still clash with a beam, electrical containment or plumbing line. Coordination is the process of resolving those interfaces before they become site problems.

Does EENOKI support projects after drawings are issued?

Yes, depending on the agreed consultancy scope. Support can include technical clarifications, MEP coordination, site consultation and site inspection during execution.

Are site visits included in every EENOKI project?

No. Site visits depend on the agreed proposal and project requirements. Some scopes may include limited visits, while other projects arrange site consultation or inspection separately.

What does PHE mean in plumbing design?

PHE means Public Health Engineering. In building services, it commonly covers water supply, drainage, sanitation, hot-water and related plumbing systems and their coordination.

Is MEP planning necessary for a house or villa?

Yes. Homes also need coordinated electrical distribution, plumbing and drainage, AC requirements, hot water, data, CCTV and ceiling planning. Many of these services become concealed behind walls, floors or ceilings, so early decisions can reduce visible compromises and rework.

Why is early MEP coordination important?

Early coordination helps reserve space for shafts, ceilings, equipment, drainage, electrical distribution and pathways before the architecture and finishes make changes difficult. It also makes it easier to coordinate different disciplines around the same physical spaces.

Can EENOKI help with an existing MEP site issue?

Yes, depending on the issue and available information. EENOKI can review relevant drawings, project conditions and coordination concerns and provide practical engineering input within an agreed consultation scope.
